New York City
Newark Liberty International Airport also known as EWR Airport is situated in the middle of the cities of Newark in Essex County and Elizabeth in Union County, New Jersey. It is jointly owned by both of the cities Elizabeth and Newark. It is the third major airport serving New York metropolitan area after J.F Kennedy Airport and LaGuardia Airport

The interesting fact about EWR Airport is that it is spread in only 68 acres which is only 40% of J.F Kennedy Airport but handles almost equal flights as JFK airport. EWR was opened in October 1, 1928 and named as Newark Metropolitan Airport but later renamed as Newark Liberty International Airport to pay tribute to the victims of the September 11 attacks and to the landmark Statue of Liberty. It handles around traffic of 46 million passengers annually.
